Ms. Petite International - Top 13 - July, 1997

As most of us usually are when bitten by the "pageant bug," I wanted to compete again. So...I took on the title of Ms. Petite CT again! My friend and photographer, Don Roudi, took these photos for me.
But I was looking forward to Houston for more than one reason. My old friend from the Miss Virginia America pageant was there! We were hugging and crying and talking a mile a minute! It was so strange for the other contestants. They were wondering how two competitors from far away (CT & NC) could know each other. Stephania (pronounced Stephanie) Cash, Ms. Petite North Carolina, was as beautiful as ever and gave me her official photo as a present.
Here I am with the reigning Ms. Petite International 1996, Alicia Moses.
We were at our swimsuit shoot and I got interviewed for "Ritmo Latino."
I had a great time and got to see old friend Stephania Cash, Ms. Petite North Carolina. She and I had competed together at Miss Virginia America.
I also made Top 13 again! This is the second time there's been a tie! I was told later by the Director that I was 7th, but who knows. I still am happy with how I did. That's me - sixth over from the left!
I had the BEST room-mate, Ms. Canada, Renee Prusak. She and I had sooo much fun!
I had to take this picture of Renee before we went to dinner! We were laughing so hard! I asked her if she had the "right bra" for that dress. She didn't know what I meant and then she looked down and started laughing!
The final shot of the Top 13. That's me in the back row, 3rd from the left. The new Ms. Petite International 1997 is Jennifer Caldwell.

Miss New England at Miss America - September 7, 1996

I traveled with my directors to Atlantic City to support our Miss Connecticut, Stacy Perrone. At the trade show, I got to talk with the late Bernie Wayne's wife. As some of you may know, he was the writer of the Miss America theme song. I also had the pleasure of being judged by him in one of the Miss Richmond preliminaries a few years ago!

Miss New England - August 24, 1996

Just back from tour and I am competing for Miss New England. I was 1st Runner-Up the day before in the talent competition. Today, I take home the title of Miss New England!

Ms. Petite Connecticut - Milford Oyster Festival - August 3, 1996

My last appearance as Ms. Petite Connecticut was at the Milford Oyster Festival with photographer Catherine Fiehn. I was so happy to be there taking pictures, signing autographs and enjoying the fun. And all of that after breaking my toe that morning! Oh well, wrap the toe and the show must go on!
