My Boy Dinky - December 4, 2008
Today I lost one of my best buddies - my cat Dinky. I know some people think it is silly, but my cat was like a child to me. At one point, it was just me and Dinky when I first moved to Connecticut from Virginia and was very homesick for my family. I had to make the decision to put him to sleep. I will miss my buddy terribly. Most often at night when he used to sleep on my head. I love you Dinky White-Geremia AKA "The Best Cat Eveeeerrrr!" Dinky in his "glamour-puss" days - although, he's a boy and didn't like this too much... ;-)

An Out Of Town Scare! - November 28, 2008
Oh my goodness! While visiting my family in Virginia for Thanksgiving and my Mom's 65th birthday, we had our first hospital visit with Delilah. She pulled her elbow out and I guess they call it "nursemaid's elbow?" We went to the emergency room. But, Delilah was a little trooper! She cried during the X-rays but she was fine when they put her elbow back in place. She was such a good girl! We were so afraid but very proud of her!

NYC Veteran's Day Parade - The Glory Girls/All American Woman 2009 - November 11, 2008
The Glory Girls with Old Glory!
Three brances of service flags!
I invited all of the All American Queens to ride along with us on our float. Stephanie Arnold-Merchant, All American Classic Woman 2009 made it up for the day.
Here are a few photos of us on our wonderful float sponsored by HBO.
Miss Empire Royalty and Miss Cheshire Outstanding Teen, Taylor Jenette and Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen, Rachel Ramonas.
I love hamming it up and today is no exception! What's more famous than King Kong climbing the Empire State Building? All American Woman 2009 climbing the Empire State Building! ;-) My daughter's two favorite movies - Sleeping Beauty and TinkerBell! Stephanie and I enjoying a treat at the street fair after the parade. (Or should I say - a messy treat?)
This gentleman was so sweet! He was also very knowledgeable about pageants! He rattled off a lot of Miss America statistics to me. I got a kick out of him and was very happy to take a photo with him!
I was honored to sign this on behalf of The Glory Girls and myself.
The end of another wonderful day in New York City and all of the royalty you can imagine!

NYC Veteran's Day Mayor's Breakfast - The Glory Girls/All American Woman 2009 - November 11, 2008
This year, we didn't make it through the long line in time for our photo with the Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He had to start the ceremonies.
But the staff took our photo in the official drawing room anyway. It was an honor to be a part of the breakfast ceremonies. The Glory Girls L-R: Stacy Perrone-Petta, Miss Connecticut America 1996; me and Jillian Vollentine, Miss Greater Torrington 2005 and Top 10 at Miss CT America. (I look like a goof in this photo because I was talking and she snapped the photo! LOL!)
