We were supposed to go to the Bahamas for our first anniversary but a hurricane kept us away. So, I rebooked to the A-B-C islands (Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao) because they NEVER get hurricanes - until now!

David's Sister Gets Married! - July 31, 2004

David's big sis Lisa got married in Newport, Rhode Island today! She was a stunning bride and her handsome groom is Jan - who is half Swedish and half Turkish.

Now here is where the funny part comes in - Jan asked me to sing a song at the wedding for Lisa - in SWEDISH! I was never more afraid in my life! The night before when I was rehearsing, one of his cousins told me to be very careful because a word I was pronouncing has a slight variation that could be a bad word! Oh the fear as I stood up in church in front of his family! All in all, they said I did a great job and they were all so pleased. WHEW!!!! :-)
