Waterbury Memorial Veterans Dinner.

While they presented the last of the awards,
Christina and I made our way up front to get ready to sing God Bless The U.S.A. to the Veterans that were honored that evening. We had a great evening and I got to see a lot of old friends and introduce
Miss Nutmeg to a lot of new friends!

I also introduced her to the
Committee President, Col. John Chiarella.
He's a regular jokester and had us all laughing, including my Father-In-Law,
Dave!
We had the chance to say hello to old friends, the
Honorable Mayor Michael Jarjura (Waterbury) and to the
Honorable Mayor Thomas Dunn (Wolcott).
Another lovely guest that evening was
American Legion Auxiliary Past President, Elaine Gravelin. She is from Prospect and she was an absolute delight to meet! We had a wonderful time and can't wait for the parade on Sunday!
These horses are soooo tall! 
Delilah decided to ride on the float with us. She practiced her singing before the parade started.

We also were asked to participate in the festivities on the green after the parade. 
We sang God Bless The U.S.A. for the crowd. It was a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Christina even made it in the Republican-American newspaper.

It was so exciting to see Jessica Maringola-Bruenn again. She was a former Miss Nutmeg America and I had judged her years ago! I asked if she would meet my contestant - Miss Nutmeg 2009! Christina got such a kick out of this! The Spice Girls! LOL! 
Christina also got to meet Mrs. Connecticut 2008, Lynette Letsky-Piombo.
