Kimberly returned with Stacy that Friday night for a Christmas Show for the Veterans at Rocky Hill VA. They were invited by Norman Musk and the Marines/Devil Dog Group. It was an evening of fun for everyone.
The evening started with the Devil Dogs handing out gifts and afghans that were crocheted all year by friends of the Devil Dogs.
Kimberly & Stacy start the evening with old favorites by the Andrew Sisters.
The medley includes a few great songs that our Veterans enjoy singing along to. Kimberly and Stacy also performed many solos which included some from Nat "King" Cole.
The show moved through the eras including 40's, 50's, 60's and some 70's. In keeping with the Christmas spirit, we performed many Christmas songs. We donned our white fur cuffs and collars for the Christmas sing-a-long that had Veterans requesting many tunes.
It was a great evening of fun and we were so happy to spread some holiday cheer to our Veterans at Rocky Hill VA Hospital.
Please Keep Checking Back
It takes a long time to scan, upload and update all those photos!

CT AMVETS Because We Care Day at Rocky Hill - Ms. Royal America - December 16, 2001
Al Duff, past State Commander of CT AMVETS invited Kimberly along for the CT AMVETS "Because We Care Day" at the Rocky Hill VA Hospital. Al's wife, Pat, and Kimberly handed out gifts to the Veterans.
Santa makes a visit and the AMVETS handed out gifts and afghans to the patients. Al dressed up like Santa and he and Kimberly led the Christmas Carols through the wards.
When they returned downstairs for bingo and dessert, Kimberly sang some tunes and the Veterans joined in.
But the fun wasn't over yet. They continued with an impromptu sing-a-long of Christmas Carols. It really was a great evening.

December 16th, I visited the Veterans at Rocky Hill VA Hospital. After visiting patients in the wards, I sang for the Veterans. Afterwards, the fun didn't end, we kept singing Christmas carols and taking photos.
I was happy to get hugs from my BIG THREE...Big Daddy Richard, a Korean War Veteran and former CT AMVET State Commander...
Willie, my favorite friend and resident Veteran of Rocky Hill...
and Richie Duff, son of Pat and Al Duff, former CT AMVET State Commander. A great time was had by all and I was proud to bring some Christmas cheer to the Veterans of Rocky Hill!

America's Yankee Miss Pageant - Ms. Royal America - October 28, 2001
We surprised our director, Christina Couto, by singing Happy Birthday to her!
After her win, I congratulate our newest Couto Family member, America's Yankee Ms., Amy Lepore. I am so proud of her for her spirit! She is hearing impaired but she never let that stand in her way and competed until she reached her goal of becoming a Couto Queen!

We followed up with a Supremes medley which was a big hit. The medley features such great favorites as: Stop, In The Name Of Love, Baby Love, Love Child and more!
We also performed a fast medley that features over 20 songs in under 6 minutes! This medley is just like the one featured in the opening scene of "Sister Act Two."

But, the evening wasn't over yet! Kimberly surprised Larry by calling him up on stage to sing a solo to him. Singing to the tune, Big Spender, she ad-libbed some lyrics such as: "...I don't cast my vote for any guy I see! Vote for...Larry!" The audience was laughing and Larry was so red! But as you can see, he was a great sport! It was a great evening of fun for all.

Country 92.5 Music Festival Volunteer - June, 2001
In June, I helped my friend Stacy as a volunteer for the Country 92.5 Country Music Festival held in Massachusetts. They wouldn't let us take a picture with Trisha Yearwood but I got close enough anyway. I know there are pictures somewhere of Stacy and I at this event - I'll find and scan them one day! It was a blistering hot day and by the time we got back to Connecticut, all I can remember is hallucinating while taking a nap on Stacy's couch! That's one we still laugh about!
