The Bahamas - October 22, 2000
This October, David and I went with his StepMom Lynda to close up their house on Paradise Island.
Boy! Aren't we cute?We had a great time and visited the Cloisters and Atlantis and hung out with our friends on the island.

We were so sad to leave. Boy - aren't we cute! LOL!

Meeting Cameron Mathison - July, 2000
I had just returned from tour and was looking to expand my acting. I heard that a couple of soap actors were going to be appearing in Orange. So, I went down and met Cameron Mathison. I really didn't watch soaps, so I didn't know who he was. I guess he's famous for taking his shirt off on All My Children as Ryan Lavery? I didn't approach him like a fan, I walked up and asked him about getting into acting and what would he suggest. He was so taken aback, that we immediately struck up a long conversation. He told me about his coach in NYC and gave me her number. I thanked him and he asked if I wanted a picture, so I said sure. I was the only one that he hugged and sat in his lap. He was very nice. I did go to his coach for a year and actually was in class with the Esta TerBlanche who played Gillian Andrassy and Josh Duhamel who played Leo Du Pres. It was crazy awesome to be in class sitting next to working actors! I remember sitting in class and Esta was studying her script and Josh and I did a Meisner exercise where you sit knee to knee and after class he said I made him nervous! Imagine how I felt a few months later when he won a Daytime Emmy! I continued with the classes for a while and it helped me get the role I always dreamed of - Adelaide in Guys and Dolls!

The Liberty Misses - Summer 2000 Tour - May 30, 2000 - Athens, Greece - To the Acropolis to see the Parthenon - crybaby and the Acropocat!
It's all good - yeah, I admit I am a crybaby when it comes to the Acropolis! I have wanted to go there since I was about 7 and reading ancient mythology about the Gods and Goddesses! There's some pretty boring commentary from Taylor and I but hey, we were there and everyone wanted us to help remember what we'd seen... Watch out for Acropocat! By the way - we look really great - it is the end of a grueling tour and we're worn out! Two weeks and how many countries?

The Liberty Misses - Summer 2000 Tour - Venezia - May 18, 2000 - When birds attack...
We had a few hours before our show so our MWR Rep., Barry, took all of us on a quick tour of Venezia. We rode the water taxi to Piazza San Marco and that's when Taylor got the idea of feeding the pigeons. One of our favorite things to say on tour was - stupid Americans! Pretty much that's what we were called! We were kind of crazy screaming in the square! It was great fun though! Well, you can see here what happened... Notice Joy, Melanie and Mary are smart enough to stay away!

The Liberty Misses - Summer 2000 Tour - Verona - May 17, 2000
Our MWR Rep., Barry, took us through Verona on the way to our next show. We had a couple of hours, so we stopped to see the famed balcony of Romeo & Juliet. (Romeo & Julietta) The statue in the courtyard is of Juliet and it is supposedly good luck in love to place your hand on her chest. As you can see, many have tried for good luck!

The Liberty Misses - Summer 2000 Tour - Turkey - May 13, 2000 - My First Camel Ride!
This is just after our show for the opening of Baraykli Park in Incirlik, Turkey. (Or what is Izhmir?) We had just finished eating and we were enjoying the festivities (including Taylor volunteering for the dunking booth) when I decided to go on this camel ride! (Nope, it's no one's birthday - Melanie just turned the menu on accidentally!)
